DAP SECOND CHANCE FOUNDATION INC was founded by Demond A. Puckett a retired law enforcement officer of 26 years from Griffin Ga. We are a small 501C3 non-profit that helps Homeless Veterans, Disabled Veterans, Less Fortunate, Single Mothers with children, Single Fathers with children,Community Service and Convicted Felons get a FRESH START and a SECOND CHANCE.

Services We Offer
Financial Assistance,Short Term Housing, GED Testing, Mentoring Program, Employment Placement, Sealing of their Criminal background, Expungement and other opportunities as we grow.
Financial Assistance
We find different grants and programs to help with Financial Assistance for our second chance clients. We also find private individuals who would like to assist financially to our clients as they rebuild their life. We will help our clients with the food stamp application and process.
Short Term Housing
We find short term housing for our clients that is affordable through our program. The Reentry Partnership Housing (RPH) Program is a means to provide qualified individuals under parole or probation supervision of the Georgia Department of Community Supervision who do not have valid residence. We will help our clients with HUD housing and section 8 applications as long as the crime committed wasn’t particularly heinous, a felon can qualify.
GED Testing
We provide GED Testing that covers Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies. We will provide all the study material, classes and practice questions for our clients at no cost. Helping our clients achieve a GED is one of our priorities. Refreshments will be provided during every study section to all of our clients.
Mentoring Program
Our mentoring program will provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to our clients. We will serve as a role model, counselor, sponsor, advocate and a advisor to our clients. Our mentoring program will help our clients grow and become leaders to others that need mentoring.
Employment Placement
We are working with different staffing agency to help our clients with employment. One of our missions is to help find jobs that will hire a felon. We will use word of mouth, social media and other contacts and newspaper listings. We will provide transportation for our clients at no cost. Our goal is to help our clients get back into the workforce and to become a productive citizen.
Expungement & Records Sealing
We are working with several law firms and attorneys to help our clients with Expungement & Records Sealing. When an expungement is granted the person, whose record is expunged may, for most purpose, treat the event as if it never occurred. The sealed record of a person background will no longer be available to the public or private companies during a criminal background check.
